What is Included?
As previously stated we can organise tours in most states in the USA however recommend the Indiana, Illinios, and Ohio area as fantastic destination from a basketball and hospitality perspective. These areas really are the heartland of basketball and the professionalism and enthusiasm displayed for the sport in this region is unparalleled to any where else in the world. We have previously organised tours in California, New York, Las Vegas, Washington, Oregon, Illinois, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio as well as Canada and New Zealand. However please note some states, namely California only allow High School teams to play ie: not club or association teams.
The following is what would be included in a tour to the Indiana, Illinois and Ohio region;
- Group round trip Airfares departing local international airport
- One free ride for the tour organiser or head coach
- All Basketball Australia, USA Basketball & State sanction fees and procedures
- National Federation of High School (NFHS) sanctioning in the USA
- 10 nights quality hotel accommodation including breakfast each day
- 10 nights of Home stays with high schools you are playing
- Ground Transport: 48 seat “Luxury 5 star safety coach” includes reclining seats each with a seat belt, air-conditioning, PA System, TV/video player and rest room OR
- Ground Transport: 12 passenger self drive vans including the maximum insurance coverage available. We include maps and detailed driving directions
- 10-12 games against high school teams, including at least one tournament
- After game function/meals with host schools
- A visit to the Indiana High School Hall of Fame Museum
- A visit to the NCAA Hall of Champions Museum
- A guided tour of the RCA Dome in Indianapolis, the home of the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL and the venue for the largest crowd in history to ever watch a basketball game (68,000)
- A visit and practice session at the Chicago Bulls/White Sox Academy. Note: This venue is used for the Chicago Bulls pre-season and is where Michael Jordan used to practice
- Disneyland or if requested an alternate theme park in LA
- An NBA Game (either Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, LA Lakers or LA Clippers)
- An NCAA Div 1 College basketball game
- USA College Campus Visit: We will organise for the team to watch a “big time” college team’s practice session, meet the team and to do a guided tour of the campus
- USA College Scholarship opportunities: BTA have helped numerous Australians get recruited into the NCAA and can virtually guarantee that if interested tour participants are good enough we will get them recruited
- Phone card with 2 hours talk time back to Australia for every tour participant
- Tour Liaison: We will have staff in the region that are easily contactable and available to help with tour logistics as required. Your group will have an American based tour contact available 24/7
